Our approach

Jill Falk launched Sapphire Pitch after more than two decades at the intersection of journalism, corporate communications, and strategic content development. With executive communications experience in professional sports, retail, and higher education, Jill recognized the opportunity to combine her passion for multimedia storytelling and her communications experience to help organizations leverage content as a strategic asset. 

As a Founder & Principal of Sapphire Pitch, her clients span a number of industries, including retail, healthcare, media, and nonprofit organizations. Jill believes the best communications work comes from combining strategic thinking with authentic storytelling and a relentless focus on outcomes that matter.

Prior to achieving her longtime goal of becoming an entrepreneur, Jill’s career in corporate communications included executive leadership roles at Schnuck Markets and the St. Louis Cardinals, as well as academic contributions as an associate professor of communications and journalism at Lindenwood University. 

She is also an accomplished media consultant, on-camera talent, and television producer – earning a regional Emmy nomination for Home: The Molina Story. During her time at the St. Louis Cardinals, Jill represented the club in 2018 as the recipient of Major League Baseball’s Katy Feeney Leadership Award.

She values community impact and serves on the nonprofit boards of Nine PBS and Girls On the Run St. Louis.
